Call for entries ahead of the 27th Australian Shipping and Maritime Industry Awards

The call for entries goes out ahead of the 27th Annual Australian Shipping & Maritime Industry Awards on November 10.

The event will take place at the Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne.

Individuals and businesses are encouraged to nominate themselves or others in the many different categories.

Awards include Newsmaker of the Year and the ever-intriguing Hall of Fame inductee.

Last year’s Hall of Fame inductee was Jillian Carson-Jackson, a strong advocate for the maritime sector and for diversity and inclusion, as well as a shining example to many as the first Australian and first female president of the Nautical Institute.

Other awards offered are: Port or Terminal of the Year, Diversity and Inclusion Award, Women in Shipping & Maritime Logistics, Supply Chain and Technology, Young Achievement, Maritime Services, Environmental, Safety, Customer Service, Liner Trades, Seafarers’ Welfare , Customs Broker of the Year, Bulk and Specialty Carrier Award and Freight Forwarder of the Year.
